The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a statement cautioning people to avoid dental treatment during the pandemic. The American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and I all vehemently disagree with this guidance. Unfortunately, the WHO has deceived us in the past about the pandemic on more than one occasion and has been working in league with the Chinese Communist government. It is sad that they have been lying to us, but it is the reality. Receiving dental care in offices that are in compliance with the many regulations and practices that are now required by the Centers for Disease Control, Department of Health, and American Dental Association, is SAFE. We have been working full time since June 1st and no active COVID cases have entered the office, no one has reported contracting COVID since visiting us for routine care, and Annette and I have remained healthy and are fully confident there is no reason to avoid seeing the Dentist. Not seeing the dentist for routine care can actually compromise your immune system, for instance, if you need a cleaning and have gum disease or an infection. This can cause you to become more susceptible to contracting diseases. For all of you who are still afraid, I can explain in detail, what the modes of transmission of the virus are, and how we have implemented controls to prevent each one. Some people who are at risk may want to delay treatment, and I understand that, and the decision is yours, but please understand that there are risks to coming as well as not coming. We hope that everyone stays informed, and does what is needed to remain safe and healthy. Thanks.
